PAU HANA PET RESORT’S BOARDING & DAYCARE TERMS of Service:

1. Before being accepted to Pau Hana Pet Resort, all new clients must complete a Pet Parent Profile, upload your dog(s) current immunization records, and your dog(s) must pass a behavior assessment. No Dog Boarding or Doggy Daycare reservations will be accepted or approved until all three have been completed.

2. Meet & Greets (behavior evaluations) are offered Monday-Sunday in time slots of 8am, 9am, 10am, or 11am. You MUST make a Meet & Greet appointment. You can schedule one through the Customer Portal, call, text, or email, and we will schedule one for you.

3. At Pau Hana Pet Resort we DO NOT hold reservation dates for new clients. New clients MUST complete a Pet Parent Profile, upload your dog(s) current immunization records, have your dog(s) pass a behavior evaluation, and pay for your reservation in full before it is confirmed. Once a reservation is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with your reservation details.

4. You as the owner of your dog(s) will assume all risk and responsibility for injuries, escapes, illnesses, or even death of your dog(s) while they are attending Dog Boarding or Doggy Daycare at Pau Hana Pet Resort. The owner understands and agrees not to hold Pau Hana Pet Resort or any of it’s staff members liable for any of the above mentioned events.

5. You as the owner agree that your dog(s) are healthy and will stay current on their DHLPP and Bordetella vaccines while being boarded or attending Doggy Daycare at Pau Hana Pet Resort.

6. Although we require that all dogs be current with all their vaccines, the owner acknowledges that their dog(s) can still contract kennel cough and other dog to dog transmitted diseases, and agrees not to hold Pau Hana Pet Resort liable for any of these transmitted ailments.

7. All dogs must be on flea and tick medication. If it is observed that your dog has flea/ticks, they will be treated with flea/tick medication at the owner's expense of $50.

8. Payments for all Dog Boarding reservations must be paid in full within 48hrs after approval. If you have a saved card on file, you authorize Pau Hana Pet Resort to charge your card on file at the time of approval. If you do not have a saved card on file, you can make a payment through the Customer Portal, call and make a payment over the phone, or come by the facility with cash or a check made out to Pau Hana Pet Resort LLC. If we do not receive payment within 48hrs after approval, your reservation may be cancelled.

9. We will only release dogs to the owner we have on file. If someone else is going to pick them up, you must let us know ahead of time.

10. If you do not pick up your dog(s) on the agreed upon pick up date, we are unable to contact you or your emergency contact for over 48 hours, you have made no effort to make further arrangements with us, and your bill remains unpaid, your dog(s) will be considered abandoned, and will be taken to the nearest Animal Shelter, picked up by Animal Control, or re-homed.

11. After hours pick-ups are available Monday through Saturday. If you would like to pick up your dog(s) after we close at 6pm Monday through Saturday, you will be charged a $50 after hours pick-up fee. After hours pick-up times are from 6pm to 10pm Monday through Saturday. There will be no after hours pick-ups on Sundays.

12. Puppies that are less than one year old will be charged a puppy rate of $35 for Doggy Daycare and $40 for Dog Boarding.

13. Dogs are charged a full day’s boarding rate no matter what time they are dropped off. Check-out time is 12pm for all Dog Boarding reservations. Any check-outs after 12pm will be charged a Doggy Daycare fee of $30 ($35 puppy rate).

14. As we are a very small facility, it is important that our customers arrive on time for all Dog Boarding and Doggy Daycare reservations. We allow a 30 minute window for all scheduled drop-offs and pick-ups. If you are more than 30 minutes late to drop-off or pick-up your dog, you will be charged a $25 Late Fee. We also ask that you notify us if you plan to be late before your scheduled drop-off or pick up time. If you need to change your scheduled pick-up or drop-off time we require 24hrs notice. You can put in a request through the Customer Portal, call, text, or email us, and we can update it for you.

15. There will be no pick-ups or drop-offs scheduled for after 530pm Monday through Saturday, and no pick-ups or drop-offs scheduled for after 1130am on Sunday’s.

16. Reservations are required for Doggy Daycare. As we are a very small facility, Doggy Daycare will only be offered on a limited basis. We ask that you call the day before or the day of if you’d like to bring your dog(s) for Doggy Daycare. Daycare will not NOT be offered on Sunday. Doggy Daycare hours are Monday through Saturday, from 8am to 6pm. Any pick-ups after 6pm will be charged a $25 Late Fee.

17. All services provided by Pau Hana Pet Resort will be subject to a GET Tax of 4.712%. This tax will be applied to the total cost of the service provided and will be charged to the client in addition to the service fee.

18. While boarding with us we will provide high quality grain free dog food options as well as toys, treats, and bedding. However, if your dog(s) is on a strict diet, or has a sensitive stomach, we highly recommend bringing your dog food. You as the owner understand and are aware that changing your dogs diet can lead to a slightly increased risk of loose stools and/or vomiting and agrees not to hold Pau Hana Pet Resort or any of its staff members liable.

19. We don’t mind taking care of elderly dog’s but you must acknowledge that geriatric dogs do get sick and have the potential to pass on at any time. Because of their nature, you the owner acknowledge the risk involved and do not hold Pau Hana Pet Resort or its staff members liable for any possible illness or death due to their age.

20. You may provide us with any medications your dog(s) is on during their stay. You as the owner understand that the staff at Pau Hana Pet Resort are not licensed veterinarians. All medications will be given as instructed on bottle or packaging.

21. Dogs that board with us play, wrestle, and get dirty! At Pau Hana Pet Resort you have the option for your dog(s) to receive an Exit Bath. $25 for small dogs (0-14lbs), $30 for medium dogs (15-44lbs), and $35 for large dogs (45lbs or more). All Exit Baths include: bath, brush and pawfume spray. You can add a Blueberry Facial or Paw Balm for $5 each. We use high quality shampoos, conditioners, and deodorizing sprays. You as the owner agree not to hold Pau Hana Pet Resort or its staff members liable for any allergic reactions your dog(s) might experience from being bathed by these products.

22. At Pau Hana Pet Resort we believe in cage-free boarding. The benefits of this method over traditional boarding include more exercise, increased freedom, and a high level of socialization. However, there are certain risks that come with this style of boarding over traditional boarding. The owner understands and agrees that punctures, scratches, torn ligaments, and other injuries can occur and will not hold Pau Hana Pet Resort or any of its staff members responsible for these injuries. The dogs are supervised at all times but rough play does happen.

23. In case of an emergency your dog(s) will be taken to the primary veterinary clinic listed. All bills will be the owners’ responsibility. If we cannot contact your primary veterinary clinic, we will take your dog(s) to the nearest available veterinary clinic.

24. We love taking photos of our happy guests and sharing them with pet parents. While your dog(s) board with us or attend Doggy Daycare, you will receive photo updates of them during their stay. We also like to use these photos to update our website, Facebook, Instagram, and use in other advertising materials. You as the owner acknowledge and agree to allow Pau Hana Pet Resort to use your dog(s) name and any images or videos taken of them while at our facility in marketing, advertising, illustration, trade or promotional materials, without being compensated. The owner releases all rights to Pau Hana Pet Resort that they might have a claim to or possess any such images or videos.

25. Cancellation Policy:

At Pau Hana Pet Resort we have limited space and can only accept a limited amount of dogs. Because we are a very small facility we reach full capacity quickly. Once we are at capacity we must turn away other clients. If you cancel your reservation at least 7 days before your stay begins, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel a reservation less than 7 days before your stay begins, you will be issued a store credit for any amount already paid. If you cancel a reservation during your dog(s )stay, you will be issued a store credit for the remaining balance.
